What is the main purpose of the Programme Facilitator role?
The main purpose of the Programme Facilitator role is to deliver rehabilitation interventions aimed at changing the attitudes, beliefs, and behaviours of people on probation, with the goal of reducing reoffending and helping individuals build constructive and meaningful lives in the community.
What qualifications or training do I need to be a Programme Facilitator?
You will need training in the delivery of group work programmes as outlined in the Accredited Programme and Structured Interventions Manuals, as well as a commitment to undertake regular training and workshops provided by the East Midlands Interventions Team.
What kind of groups will I be working with?
You will be delivering accredited programmes to diverse groups of individuals on probation from a variety of backgrounds and with different offending histories, including those convicted of sexual and domestic abuse offences.
How many evenings per week am I required to work?
You will be required to work a minimum of two evenings per week to ensure accessibility for the groups outside of normal working hours.
Is there any travel involved in this position?
Yes, the role requires travel across a large regional area, as you will be delivering interventions from various venues throughout the East Midlands Region.
What support will I receive in this role?
You will receive full training for the role, as well as ongoing support and reflective supervision from Programme Managers and feedback from experienced Treatment Manager colleagues.
