Responsibilities

  • Work directly with our clients to achieve their sustainable transport needs;
  • Act as Design Lead and sometimes Project Manager also for a range of projects including cycling and walking schemes, sustainable drainage, public realm and safety schemes. These projects are likely to range from £500k to £10m in budget and are typically transformational, high profile schemes.
  • Coordinate and integrate with range of other internal industry experts including those in carbon, drainage, lighting, structures and modelling;
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practice;
  • Oversee projects budget and financial performance;
  • Undertake technical preparation, review and checking of deliverables including technical drawing packages within the team;
  • Work collaboratively with the Liveable Places team, colleagues in our Mobility team and the wider WSP business to achieve our aims and objectives.
  • Opportunity to people manage or mentor more junior members of staff if desired.
