Responsibilities

  • As an engineering intern, you will use your knowledge to support the process of developing trauma orthopedic products with a focus on improving surgeon experience and patient outcome.
  • This may include analyzing and collecting voice of customer, defining/interpreting project requirements, and using 3D modelling software along with your engineering skills to develop and design surgical implants, instruments, and/or test fixtures.
  • You will work directly with product development engineers to support a variety of design verification activities that may include medical device documentation, drawing reviews, tolerance stack analysis, mechanical testing, and finite element analysis.
  • This position may also provide opportunities to participate in simulated surgical labs.
  • You will need excellent technical and problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of integrity, ethics, and compliance as a daily requirement.
