Responsibilities

  • The intern will work in the standard design team of LVA designing Low voltage assemblies and systems. The candidate will work with a mentor on electrical or mechanical designs, using six sigma, thermal analysis, air flow analysis, computer model simulation and hands on testing to validate concepts.
  • The intern will also support the LVA front-end customer order engineering team.
  • This assignment will allow the intern to communicate with engineers, learn and apply engineering concepts to real world application, review and improve engineering toolset.
  • Use AutoCAD to update engineering drawings and create/update engineering forms.
  • Attend internal meetings (along with customer order engineers/technicians) with the customer to review and provide customer specific engineered solutions to meet their specific order needs.
  • Other duties, projects as assigned.
