  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area plus three years of experience in budget, grant and program management or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) required. Develops and implements program ideas into successful academic and research programs; demonstrated human relations and effective communication skills also required.
  • Moderate to advanced computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook is required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee specific components of daily program operations and program activities, which may include: trainee schedules, evaluations, assignments, educational conferences, leave requests, work hours reporting, recruiting, orientation, extracurricular events.
  • Compile, sort, and organize confidential data for record keeping and reviews.
  • Provide administrative support for program leadership.
  • Assist with trainee recruitment such as interview scheduling for both applicant and faculty.
  • Post recruiting, assist with hiring and onboarding processes.
  • Assist with faculty mentoring and faculty advisory programs. Advises staff, trainees, and others regarding program policies and goals.
  • Purchase program materials and maintain related documentation.
  • Prepare letters of recommendation, verification of training, and loan deferment forms.
  • Assists with the implementation of department and University policies and procedures.
  • Additional support related duties as needed and assigned.
