Responsibilities

  • This position leads the center of excellence that is responsible for Verizon’s use of assessments and interviews for talent selection, including recruiter, candidate, and hiring team support and ensuring a quality candidate experience.
  • Developing and managing programmatic solutions for using assessments for talent selection across the global enterprise and aligned with Verizon’s overall talent strategy
  • Leading a team of niche professionals with subject matter expertise in psychometric assessment/measurement, enterprise-wide interviewing program and selection tool development, job analysis, competency modeling, and validation practices.
  • Partnering with other Talent centers of excellence to design and implement a cohesive integrated talent management strategy
  • Identifying opportunities to align selection strategy with business strategy to ensure Verizon recruits and hires the talent needed to achieve critical business objectives.
  • Maximizing the business value of assessments.
  • Serving as an expert resource for questions regarding employment testing considerations.
  • Ensuring assessments are implemented in compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory, audit, and professional requirements (e.g., Uniform Guidelines, OFCCP, SIOP, APA Standards), including technical documentation and analysis.
  • Leading and managing assessment and selection vendors.
  • Contributing to HR transformation projects, as needed (examples: Talent GPS, Journey Forward).
