What is the primary responsibility of the District Sales Manager (DSM)?
The primary responsibility of the District Sales Manager is to lead a group of Account Sales Managers (ASMs) in driving sales volume, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and coaching/developing the team.
How often will the DSM conduct route rides?
The DSM will conduct route rides two full days per week, with the primary purpose being to train and evaluate the performance of Account Managers.
What qualifications are required for the District Sales Manager position?
A minimum of 3+ years of experience in Direct Store Delivery (DSD) management and experience supervising a team of account sales professionals are required. A valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record is also necessary.
What kind of skills will the DSM be expected to teach Account Managers?
The DSM will be expected to teach Account Managers selling skills through role plays, overcoming objections, retail math skills, and understanding different buying personalities.
Is there a requirement for physical lifting in this role?
Yes, the DSM must be able to lift and transport up to 40 pounds of inventory and/or advertising displays.
