Responsibilities

  • On behalf of the Head of Establishment, will be responsible for availability of all PDev facilities and equipment, their health & safety, maintenance, replacement planning and business continuity. Managing a small team of Subject Matter Experts to support you in this area;
  • Assurance that fire safety plans are in place and that buildings fire safety and emergency procedures fulfil departmental and legal requirements;
  • Function as Establishment Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for PDev infrastructure business and broker contacts with specific business areas to support any tasks required;
  • Coordinate the development of a weekly Establishment PDev programme and suitably advertise this programme within the establishment.
  • Ensure that an appropriate Challenging Activity Leader Awards (CALA) database of qualified Leaders is maintained, updated and that an appropriate methodology is available to support CALA from the establishment.
  • Monitor customer activity and develop an understanding of customer issues, resolving or escalating where appropriate. Be proactive in holding meetings with high profile customers to facilitate real-time working and customer engagement
  • Membership of appropriate H&S and Unit Health Committees.
  • Coordinate establishment contribution to Regional PDev events in liaison with the Deployable Regional Unit.
  • Work with H&S Manager in the team to monitor and ensure all unresolved building and PDev equipment related risks are escalated appropriately.
  • Manage devolved budgets in accordance with the financial procedures outlined in the budget delegation.
  • Responsible for the management of all staff within their area. This includes staff performance, development, and annual appraisal through to sickness absence management.
  • Produce relevant reports as required and ensure all correspondence is replied to within agreed timescales.
  • Liaise and form good relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
