The minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, Government, Public Affairs, or a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience, as well as 7 years of experience working on technology or content policy issues related to copyright, intellectual property, and media/publisher policy issues.
Is experience with EU copyright or media policy a requirement?
Yes, experience in European copyright or media policy issues, including familiarity with the EU Copyright Directive, is a requirement for this position.
What are the responsibilities of the Policy Manager?
Responsibilities include supporting outreach to policymakers, engaging in thoughtful dialogue on copyright and media policy issues, analyzing legislative and regulatory proposals, working closely with various teams at Google, and developing policy positions and research on emerging public policy issues.
