Responsibilities

  • Management of the materiel account and integrity of physical stock and storage regulations, conducting quality assurance activities where required.
  • Management of spare parts and components stock for various technical equipment, including paperwork, handling, quality and batch control, storage, issue, and receipt.
  • Conduct stocktaking and disposal of technical stock and non-movement items.
  • Liaise with inventory holders and nominated suppliers for transactions.
  • Act as the supervisor and operator for the freight and packages tracking logistics tool, ensuring to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Management of transportation documentation and reports, packaging requirements and raising discrepancy reports and claims against carriers (where required).
  • Unloading and unpacking of equipment received from external sources.
  • Management of hazardous waste and salvageable scrap commodities, ensuring adherence to environmental regulations and legislation. Act as a team member within the site Spillage Response Team.
  • Undertake driving duties of the section vehicle and forklift truck. Operate material handling equipment where required.
  • Supervisory responsibility of a small team of Skill Zone 2 Storekeepers.
