What is the duration of the ITCE Internship program?
The program lasts for ten to twelve consecutive weeks.
What are the working hours for the internship?
Interns are required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week between Monday and Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Is this a paid internship?
Yes, the internship is paid at a rate of $17.00 per hour, with bi-weekly payments.
Are benefits offered during the internship?
No, benefits are not offered during the internship.
Is there a possibility for employment after completing the internship?
Yes, there may be consideration for matriculation to an entry-level position in the area of specialization or organizational need upon successful completion of the program.
What educational background is required for the internship?
Applicants must have an earned Associate's degree or be current college Juniors with at least 64 credits, including at least 9 credit hours in relevant disciplines such as Computer Science or IT Security.
What skills are required for the ITCE Intern position?
Candidates should have proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to work with supervision on assigned tasks.
Can students from any major apply for the internship?
While students from various majors can apply, it is preferred that they have completed coursework related to Computer Science, Database, Operating Systems, Programming/Development, or IT Security.
What will the intern's responsibilities include?
Interns may work on special projects, assist with departmental processes and procedures, and will vary depending on departmental needs and individual skill sets.
Is attendance an important requirement for this internship?
Yes, maintaining regular, punctual attendance is crucial and must be consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable regulations.
